CABINET REFINISHING PROCESS
The right preparations and products are absolute key to a long lasting finish.
At your home, we will:
• Remove cabinet doors and drawer fronts
• Clean cabinet bases to remove oil and grease
• Sand cabinet bases to create an adhesive surface
• Fix imperfections in wood with caulk and wood filler
• Vac and tac cloth surface to remove dust
• Prime cabinet bases with stain blocking primer
• Sand, vac and tac cloth surface again
• Paint cabinet frames with two coats of specialty cabinet paint
• Apply custom glaze and two coats of protective finish (if applicable)
• Install cabinet doors and drawers on bases
At our shop, we will:
• Remove hinges and hardware from doors/drawers
• Clean doors/drawers to remove oil and grease
• Sand doors/drawers to create an adhesive surface
• Fix imperfections in wood with caulk and wood filler
• Vac and tac cloth surface to remove dust
• Prime cabinet doors/drawers with stain blocking primer
• Sand, vac and tac cloth again
• Paint cabinet doors with two coats of specialty cabinet paint
• Apply custom glaze and two coats of protective finish (if applicable)
• Install hinges and hardware
